I need a clarification on IMM5540E form ( Sponsor Questionnaire) for sponsoring spouse.
Question number 8 in this form reads as : Have you resided in countries other than Canada?
So my question is:
Do I have to mention about my stay in India before immigrating to Canada ?
What does resided mean exactly ?
I will highly appreciate ur help
regards
Ashar

"Resided" means your previous addresses you lived.

hi..yes they are asking you if you have ever lived in any country other than canada..if yes then provide them the details..like in my case, i've lived in pakistan for 16yrs before coming here..and then i went back 2yrs ago to get married so i provided them both of the address..one where i lived before coming to canada for the first time..and second one is where i lived after getting married..do give them the dates too..good luck..aisha
