Janmeja..
Might you guide us to where you saw this Ad?
I checked the site for the city of Red-Deer and their web-site doesn't say anything for this requirement of 600 jobs going a begging.. only one city is hiring for is Lifeguard Instructor-In-Training
Or your local liberal MP told you that?
You remember those politicians back in India that would encourage, and protect slums and shanties ?? You got Liberal politicians here in Canada doing the same with immigrants..

Come to Toronto. It seems to be the immigrator's paradise when they first move to Canada. Very easy for transition. Then check out other places around Toronto. (You don't have to make a giant leap all the way to Vancouver, you know.) Perhaps you will find your niche in a town somewhere in Ontario. Also, you can take a trip down to Vancouver and check that out as well and then make a decision based on your own experience and findings.
I would say you should at least visit both the places. And do the what your heart says. That way you can make your mind.
Both are good places
Here's a nice article that compares living for immigrants in the major cities, including Toronto, Vancouver and Alberta:

Personally, I think no single city is perfect. If good weather is most important, pick Vancouver; if it's community, try Toronto; if it's jobs, Alberta is your best bet.
