Hey All CD's
Maybe many of you know thid but i taught that it's still worth sharing
NASA space shuttle recently captured pictures of an unknow bridge which connects from India south cost to Sri Lanka
Many are saying that this was the bridge made my the Hindi Lord "RAM"
There is a lot of confusion and NASA have given this new finding the name of "ADAM"
Well I dont agree that these US ppl have the right to name any bridge just based on their finding...
How would they feel if we tell them to rename Status of Liberty to "Ghanta Ghar" or something.....

It is a standard and accepted practice for a discovery to be named by the discoverer. In that sense, the bridge has been a discovery of NASA and the right to name it therefore lies with them.
That the story of Ramayana has a mention of a bridge being built is not evidence enough of it to be true. Ramayana is not an indisputable story and the events therein are not established historical facts.
Had it been a discovery made by a Hindu(s) he(they) would have all the right to give it the names they pleased.
While it may have deep emotional attachments for you, until there is hard evidence that the events of Ramayana are factual, it will not be considered anything more than fiction.
Just so that you know, I am a Hindu myself and so please do not consider what I have written as an anti Hindu rant or an affront to the religion.
