Hi,

I am in the process filling out forms under the skilled catagory. I have few doubts.

1) One of the forms asks - Total no. of formal education. I have 15 years education; however at the post secondary level, I have 3 years B.COM and 2 years Diploma. So, do I write total no. of formal education as 15 as 15 years is the higestt eduaction I had and as both the credential are at the post secondary level

2) I have a private diploma (4 years) from Aptech Computer Education. Do I mention this under the education catagory as it is a private diploma or do I just mention this in my essay I am writing on education history.

3) My wife has completed 17 years of education. She has a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management. There is no catagory for the same. What should we mention in the form.

Your highest level of education would be BCOM. So, how many years did it take for your degree ? was it 10+2+3 ? ie. 10years SSC+2years HSSC+3years graduate degree. This would give a total of 15 years. When you say secondary i'm assuming it is up to the 12th standard and not 10th.
As for your wife you can put graduation as the highest level of education and also mention about her post graduate achievements, likewise for you.
