Moovers Needed for moving in -Distance is less then 3km

Hi,

Can any body know good moovers who can help me in my moving ? The distance is very near less than 3 km from my current house. I need movers not professional.

Just remember that in local moving, the distance does not matter much, specially if it is within the same city. The main cost is for lifting, putting things in truck, taking it out (lift on-lift off) and then placing everything in the new place.

What is your budget and how much do you think you can save by not hiring professionals - and will that be worth the trouble, the anxiety and the chances of losing/breaking something valuable (including your own back)

Thanks for your reply.

Actually i am single person and having very less luggage like one bedroom and kitchen. I heard that some people ( those who having VAN ) are doing part time. For lifting ofcourse I can help. I need basic transportations.

My budget is less than 50$

A move (for the kind of furniture that you have mentioned) would in all likelihood cost you close to $100. Check out the Toronto Star classifieds, you should be able to find someone – one mover with a van should cost about $23/hr, 2 will cost $35/hr.

These movers are ok for a local move, but I wouldn’t trust anything delicate / exquisite with them.

Your other alternative is to rent a Uhaul and do it yourself.

If that be the case, get a mini truck/van on hire from home depot or Ikea who charge about $19-20 per hour. Keep everything ready at your place, go to hire the truck, dump in things, drive to your new place, dump the things there, return the van.

All this should be within your budget. You might need help on lifting - which if you have a friend, ask him. If not, ask me - I will help you.

Thanks chandresh.

I have a CAR but the thing is i never drove a VAN and RENTAL units. Yes I can always call friend to help. I need a perosn who can just drive the VAN and help me to put big things like SOFA and Dining Table other small things i can take it in my CAR.

I appriciate for your help.
