Need some feed back . I just got a request from CHC london for verifcation of my B.com Cert from the Mumbai . I am not the Principal Applicant , my hubby is. We had filed our application On the 19th of dec 2003 . Got our AOR on the 13th of Feb 2004.
MY questions Are:

1. Why do they need to check on the auhtencity of the Spousal Cert ?

2.What does this mean inregards to our application?
according to the agent , It means 90% no interview .

3. How long does a verification process take thru Mumbia university .?
my agent says anywhere bet 4-8 mths .

would love some feed back from anyone who was in the same boat .

I don't think it means anything except for the fact that they are verifying the certificate in view of the bogus certificate they receive.

Your husband will get points for adaptability based on your educational qualification. Thats why they want to verify your B.com Cert.

I will agree with your agents assessment.

I have no idea about the verification process from Mumbai University.

Hi,
I could not really understand how CHC can possibly ask you to verify your Cert from Mumbai.
If it is from a Mumbai Univ - then that is what it is.
You can possibly give an Affidavit explaining your degree from the institution in Mumbai. So, they know it is not fake and you swear by it before the judiciary.
Also, get a Canadian equivalence from an accredited institution.
I got mine from UFT and it took 4 months. But there are others, wherein it will be faster (2 weeks max).

Just curious why they asked for it ?/ I read in Buffalo office application proedures and there they ask for University sealed transcripts which means that there is no need for verification.. Is the application procedure different for different offices ??
Did u submitted transcripts or a photocopy of your degrees ??

I think they have a standard procedures for all the CHC offices.
I had submitted Attested photocopies of my Degree . i have no idea why they would want to verify , but according to my agent they do it if the don't want to call u for an interview , where they could have checked the original . i suppose i have to be satified with that answer becuz u nevr know why a visa officer would do a certain thing.
