Is this Vancouver Island?
Is this an affordable place to live?
or it is mostly a business area?

From what point is this photograph taken?

Nice to see a pic of Vancouver! I'm not an expert on Vancouver (yet), but here are my answers..

This is Vancouver city, not Vancouver island. Vancouver island is different, and is accessible by ferry (about 1.5 hours) from Vancouver. Vancouver island is where Victoria, the capital of BC is located, and has been ranked the most beautiful island in North America.

IMO, Vancouver is as affordable as Toronto if you're renting. While renting costs are comparable to Toronto, real estate prices are certainly higher. There are talks that a correction in the housing prices is in order, but I'm not sure about it.

There are plenty of residential areas. A lot of housing construction is going on in Vancouver and the surroundings right now.

This picture must have been taken from a plane. The buildings you see are in downtown Vancouver, and the stretch of mountains form North Vancouver (to the west of it is West Vancouver) with stunningly beautiful areas.

BTW, what were the other questions about Vancouver? You said Another question! :)

Ok cool!

My question is the other question:D . Since there is a question about Vanc every other day, so I thought of putting 'another' in the title.

Anyway, since you asked, here is another question to you and others:

Whats a good roundway trip cost from TO to Vanc?
I want to go there and stay a week or two to get a feel.

I am seriously thinking of moving there. Not immdiately but maybe next year.

Not sure about the flight deals - my guess is about $600 round trip if you book in advance.

Sure, you can give it a try here, take a vacation for a few weeks, see how you like it, and how the opportunities are here. It is not as big as Toronto, but we like it here better so far.

Let me know if you need any help or further info!

How's Vancouver in October weatherwise? I have a week off in the first week of Oct. and am thinking about visiting.

Are you there?

Haven't seen Vancouver in October yet. There maybe some slight drizzles on and off, but don't let that deter you. I see quite a few run events being conducted till mid-October, so I guess it shouldn't be too bad.

Feel free to PM me if you need any help or info.

If visiting, and you have time, you may also want to visit Whistler (my personal favourite in BC!) for a day trip, which is 1.5 hours drive from Vancouver. But you need to bring along your winter jackets if you want to take the chairlift to the top, though.
