The only issue would be to find "Telugu" speaking people !!! in Vancouver area which is very much unlike .. GTA

I agree. I still miss life in GTA. Metro Vancouver is nowhere close to GTA in terms of the immigrants with whom you can relate to.

If given a chance, I would definitely go for GTA in the entire Canada. I've been in Vancouver for the last 2.5 years and trust me, still find it difficult to make friends. So far, I haven't got any. In Toronto, I made numerous good friends right after landing. The friends, relatives, immigrants with whom I could relate to.

People are different in Metro Vancouver. Just a dead life.

Disclaimer: In my humble opinion (The experience might be different for others living here).

Hope you might have found some people of your interest.Did you try go to cinemas where telugu movies are playing in Vancouver.

Are there any theaters in Vancouver where regional movies are playing.

Any links from this forum?

We are migrating to Canada to Maple Ridge which is just outside Vancouver. we are telugu speaking. Might be reaching in Jan 2009.

How did you get on with finding other Telugu speaking people.

A golty friend of mine assures me, if there are two Telugu people then expect at least three Telugu associations(One each and one together).
