As per my knowledge , the apartment lease is for 1 yr or so. However, I am looking for some apartment ( for married couple ) which can be rented for 2-3 months (short stay) for searching the job and then settle for a proper place/location after getting the job.
I have not landed yet. But I am planning to stay near Toronto
can someone throw lights on apartments for few months.
Hi abc80,
Now-a-days beause of high vacancy rate in rental property you can rent without signing annual lease agreement. Probably you may have to pay more when you rent on monthly basis.
If you want to rent only for 2 to 3 months why not try renting a basement.
Best of luck!

Either that or you should look for a sub-let, where a tenant who's moving out wants to sub-lease for the rest of his lease period.
Consider the number of people buying houses these days, this should be pretty easy.
How much are you willing to pay?

Are you there?
Looking at current vacancy rate of apts. perhaps you can rent out one without a lease. However, basement can be another option for short period.
