I am actually canadian citizen, thus base on reply I am assuming that Income factor is not crucial when it comes to sponsoring the spouse. Please confirm...thanks in advance

If you are already a landed immigrant, Income is not considered for sponsoring spouse

Income is not a factor when sponsoring spouse. However you are bound by law to be financially responsible for her for 3 years from her date of landing in Canada

Thats correct . For a landed Immigrant income is NOT a factor for sponsoring spouse .

How soon can a sponsored wife become a PR? Is it automatic or she needs to file separately.

I have another q- if a Canadian PR marries and they have a child how wud the PR manage to sponsor both the wife and child ?? Can he sponsor both together & in case yes - r their any income requirements ?

Please shed light . And sorry for hijacking the thread.

Manasvi.

To my knowledge the current processing time for sponsoring a spouse would be anywhere between 2 to 5 months if the spouse is from India.

There are no additional income requirements to sponsor the child.

But you would need ample proof that the marriage is legit._ am i right about that? Didnt some one on CD just got rejected because CIC thought it was not a legit wedding. Talk to a lawyer
