Singapore and malasiya

Ceylonese Tamils made up an overwhelming majority in the civil service of British Malaya and Singapore prior to independence. It was in Malaysia and Singapore, that the term Ceylonese and Jaffnese were popularly used by the Sri Lankan Tamils to differentiate themselves from the larger Malaysian Indian population who were predominantly of Tamil origin.

Many of the first Asian and non-white doctors and engineers in Malaya and Singapore were of Sri Lankan Tamil descent. THE WORLD'S FIRST aSIAN SURGEON WAS DR. S.S.THURICHELVAM, A MALAYAN OF CEYLONESE TAMIL ORIGIN....

Why are you getting upset about Tamilkuravan comment on Sri Lankan Tamils? We all are basically a Tamilian. Sri Lankan Tamils are very friendly, culturally rich and highly intelligent over Indian Tamils and rest of the Tamils in the World. I act contrite on behalf of Tamilkuravan and Indian Tamils. I would like to sight some example; Even the English speaking people are comparing and commenting about their language although all of them speak same English language; for example Canadian English is different from American English; British English; South African English; Australian English and New Zealand English and all of these country people speaks English with different accent and live life style and connected by Common Wealth Country. Is it not true? They know who is who and what is what? There is always difference in the culture and habits when people live in different parts of the World. Besides all I wish a Happy, Prosperous and Safe New Year 2008! to you and rest of the Tamils in the World.

i studied in french.and German.. english was my 3rd language..pls note this point...

I'm not upset at all...but those indian tamils..wherever they go their mentality will be the same... this guy is an example for tht....first time in my life i heard all those words from an indian tamil fellow......i helped many indian tamils for getting jobs..in Switzerland...one thing is true ...those ppl arent greatful..

they just want to dominate women.....they kill thier female babies...etc...this is their culture..we are different from them...

they are suffering from an inferior complexity...coz.Srilankans are well educated..(especially in europe) they need our help..

We always keep distance with indian tamils....I've many north indian friends who r really nice..than southies.(indian tamils)..I SIMPLY LOVE NORTH INDIANS....THEY R REALLY FRIENDLY...

I donno in which way tht fellow(TAMILKURAVAN) was educated..his IQ is too low..go and search in wikipedia...abt srilankan tamils..

my indian tamil colleagues get exactly half of my salary (u know how much i get..)..in switzerland.. they r called from tn.and..they are less paid..

First of all...in Sri lanka they r 2 kind of tamils.. indian tamils who r labourers and they were brought from indian for working in the tea plantations and..SRILANKAN TAMILS WHO MOVED THERE DURING 10TH CENTURY...WE ARE HIGHLY EDUCATED..i guess tht wht he(TAMILKURAVAN) wanted to mention here...as labourers....ONE MORE THING MR ABDUL KALAM'S UNCLE LIVES IN SRILANKA..

srilankan tamils r very rich....tamilkuravan...once come to srilanka..i'll show u my huge house...

in malasiya.singapore..uk..switzerland..germany..etc..my ppl r billionaires

in malasiya..srilankan tamils r richer than indian tamils....Do u know ananda krishnan...(srilankan tamil) is the 3rd riches man..in malaysia and..he is among 99th richest man in the world..

the first asian surgeon was a srilankan tamil..
