Thought I'd revive this thread to add a few notes about the effectiveness of weight training to an exercise/diet regimen.
Training with weights is a good idea for both overall fitness and weight loss. Increasing strength via weight training has a snowball effect on strength just as cardio does to endurance/stamina. A good exercise regimen would be to incorporate weights, cardio(running, walking etc) and stretching(yoga etc). This applies to both men and women...young an old. Infact weight training may even help you stay younger as you grow older
due to the fact that the strengthened muscles will support your body better.
NOTE: if one is new to weight training I would recommend that you take directions from a pro inorder to avoid injury due to poor form.
My better half added weight training to her workout and we are both very pleased with the results
even though its only been six months.

Apologize for starting it again. I was not part of earlier discussion.

Change your lifestyle, do yoga especially abdomen exercise, prayna nam regularly in morning, keep away from fried food, even if u have finished food your stomach should have some empty plcae. keep away from cold drinks, coffee. No smoking, try to exercise when ever u have time. Never take drugs even if your best friend suggests. Drugs are harmful
My advise to you would walk atleast one hour everyday. You will reduce 5 kg every month. If you wish to reduce more then, have a heavy breakfast and skip lunch, have just juice during lunch time. Don't even look at fried items, let alone eat. I promise do this for 6 months your weight will reduce to half in six months time.
It is my experience.

Instead of White rice use Brown Rice, use Brown sugar instead of White sugar , use olive oil for cooking, also discover Quinoa,
Buy organic meat/game/venison/rabbit /White meat/ Fish or meat from a deli instead of factory raised meat. Also marble all fat before cooking and use prime cuts which are lean, avoid joints/bones as they tend to have high fat content around them.
If a person is not much into physical exercise, i will not suggest weights /exercise, but may be light walking/swimming /sauna.
I do not have the knowledge but these are some changes which can assist you in losing weight,
Even if you do not make the above changes just reduce the amount of white rice and oil in food.
Hi,
All the above suggestions are excellent but what I would suggest you is that first you should try to shed some weight and then for maintaing it you should follow all above methods.
I was same overweight and then I started taking ALOEVERA products which helped me reduce and maintain my weight. It is 100% effective and without any side effects and by taking this it melts the fat and it does not make you eat more and keep you full. If you want contact me at 4167431088
My suggestion - everyone should do this exercise to reduce weight. I GURANTEE that 4-5 minuties of this exercise would definately reduce weight.
It is simple exercise of neck, 4-5 minutes in a day. It is also not difficuly. When ever someone ask you to eat some thing nod your head left to right and right to left till the time he/ she leaves. Tell your wife not to ask you for eating anything twice. Tell your wife that even if you ask something to eat don't give till remined 3-4 times. This neck exercise will definately reduce weight.
