Hi everyone

Are there any CGAs on this forum. I am planning to be one and would really appreciate if anyone could give me some guidance on this profession. I reside in B.C. Thanks in advance.

Hi Jmart

It is very kind of you to reply. What I would like to know is the scope of being a CGA. I have no accouting background, have a degree ( B.A.) from India and did one semester of M.B.A. in India. Have worked here in Canada for 5 years in Health Care field. How is the future for CGAs. The CGA prospectus speaks very highly of the demand and salaries for CGAs, how true is that? I also plan to do CGA- MBA from Laurentian University, will that a be marketable option? How much can CGAs expect to earn generally as they start and is sky the limit then? I work full time so when should I expect to see myself certified ? Will really appreciate any input from you. Is CA / CMA a better option than CGA. Thanks again , Jmart.
