But hey, did you noticed the difference between 1.5 hr commute by public transit and 1.5 hrs commute by car ?

One of my friend, who is an automobile engg. had gotten a job in London, ON. He also used to drive every morning to London & come back in the evening. We all used to suggest him to just stay there in London for a week & then he can come back home for the weekend. For first 3 weeks he didn't listen to us but later on he might have realised what a hassel it is to drive every morning @ 0500 hrs & same thing while coming back every evening. So after 3 weeks he got shared acco. there.
My philosophy is we should not waste longer time in commuting to work, as work takes the biggest chunk of your time of the day. The time which is left out of work should be used for family & home.
In my opinion 30 minutes or less/one way is ideal.
I know it is not always possible. I was lucky to have my best job on 15 mins. drive.
