I will be commuting for work from Brampton (Bovaird & Chingacousy) to Don Mills Toronto (DVP & Eglinton) pretty soon. I wanted to know how much of commute time am I looking at, specially in winters? Mapquest shows a distance of 55 km taking 45 mins to complete but is it accurate? My work timings are flexible so I can leave home around 6 am and start work at 7 am and end work at 3.30 or 4 pm. Anyone here taking a similar route for work? How is the traffic on 401 during morning and evening rush hour?

I live in south of Brampton and commute to DVP/Eglinton. I take 407-427-409-401-DVP. I live very close to 407 and so for me it is like driving on highway all the way.

On a non-snowy, non-eventful day, this commute takes min. The biggest bottle neck is DVP, as driving from 401 to Wynford takes atleast 15 min.

For you, the other major bottle neck might be 410 soutbound which is always clogged in morning
