Hello all,

I got immigrated in April 04 and got married in Jan 04, as i was very busy so i have not Informed the immigration guys about my marriage, now i applied in Oct 05 for mu Wife, first i just got the file number and now whenever i am calling them they are telling that they are still looking into the case, each time i call they give different answers. First they told me that they take 3 month to register my marriage and now they are telling that they will take their own time to do that, I dont know guys what to do, if u or somebody u know came into this situation then i just want to know how much time it will take to come out of this and if i go through any Lawyer is that will be benificial.

Please help me out, your comments will be much appreiciated.

There is something very wrong happening. In 2003 it was just 100 days to get spouse immigration. I hear that it takes around 6 months now.
At your end, Did you file all documents properly? and by chance did you take any welfare from the govt.? B'cos if you did then you canot sponser your wife.
There is no need for a lawyer, as far as i can see.
What stage is it in? Has the file left the mississauga office for new delhi? Has your wife got a medical request or have you done a medical in advance already and sen t the results to new delhi?
If you can explain in detail, then some CD's can help you much more than i.

I already done my wifes medical and i send it with my papers,i filed all my papers correctly and i think the file is still in Missisauga, i have not even taken 1 dollar from the govt.i dont know how much more time it will take
