I admire your efforts, determination and hard work and I see you are approaching us here, with the last hope, and want to know what the procedure is and if you have failed some where in between.

That is why we always say "It is good to have knowledgeable friends". Ones that you can always tap on and ask. And You did. And we replied. With your response, I find that you have one more week to go and you also had two other weeks prior to this to get to us. May be some one who has gone through this and I do remember vaguely, reading through the CD, that there was one other individual who asked for a similar one, would have gotten back to you.

Now, knowing what it is that you have gone through and knowing what it is that you are seeking, I would suggest to you that you draft a nice letter stating who you are and where you reside and with all of the qualification that you possess, state that vehemently that you DO NOT have a "Criminal Record" and get it notarized and submit it along with the submission ticket or the number that RCMP (Or the Agency) have provided you with and see where it will take you. Also, try and obtain two colour copies of 1) your Passport and 2) the Driver's License and sign and write in capital letters your name and attest all of the documents and send them all to them for their consideration.

Then wait for their response. You may want to know why? I want to wish you all the best of luck.

You have overcome your obstacles and you came to the right place.

Good Luck.

Freddie.

Thanks Freddie. I will keep you and all other posted. I have an interesting and equally horrible stoty to share with every one but I am too depressed to state right now, reason being it requires a lot of elaboration to give right perspective.

I had invited some guest today for dinner and my wife did not permit me to cancel that. Any way I will try to be cheerful!

I will keep friends posted so at least some one else benefits .

Thanks guys

Just to provide update that I did get in almost last day! What helped me is digital fingerprinting done by a private agency approved by Govt. I got call on Jan 17 that they got my finger print report done on Nov 22. I believe that was the last day for deciding my employment.

Considering tough economy, I sought shelter in Govt job. My pay is lower by $12000 p,a, but there is benefit of pension and relative job security and hence I have accepted offer and joined couple of weeks back.

Moral: When security clearance is required, do get your finger printing done digitally by private security company ASAP to aviod all troubles and anxiety.

PS: I would like to add that when job was offered to me, I first declined stating that pay they offer is much less than my current pay. In the end I could bargain and ultimately I got $6,000 more than what they initially offered. If you are employed and have better pay, there is a strong case for bargaining for better salary even in Govt job

Thanks to all CD members who helped me through the process

Thanks for keeping us posted with the subsequent developments and a confirmation of the process. I went back to the posts last night and I found one of the links that opened before inactive and I edited the same with the New functioning one. Hope it keeps working for the next person.

Our aim is for your success. When you are happy, we get elated.

Your posting back to this Canadian Desi Board, not only make it, IT makes it better.

Have a good one,

Freddie.

Hi Hum Tum : Did you say your pay was 12000 p.a. or 120 000 p.a. ?

If you do not mind, can you pl tell us the procedure, meaning you applied thru net and then....?? and what is the total time frame in whole process ? Is it true indians are hired v less ? Do you think your experience or education matched what they needed and that is why u were selected ?

Also what abt the letter of conduct, where did u get that ?

Thanks.
