Hi,

I visited the Sears Outlet Store at Steeles /Don Mills .Was mesemerised as clothes is not the only thing it deals in. You have appliances , beddings , furniture plus the clothes and shoes on the upper floor. Seems its a special low priced outlet with no exchange / refund.

The jackets were of good quality and deal prices of around CAD 20/- - CAD 60/-. All sizes and a good variety. Will visit them again as could not finalize yesterday. Found a lot of desis shopping.

A must go for new Immigrants who are looking for winter jackets.Even leather jackets are available besides sweaters , shirts and other wears - men women and children.

Same thing with respect to shoes . I dont wish to spoil my new leather shoes in snow . I have heard people wear winter shoes and change into office shoes upon reaching office .

Responses would be appreciated by me & other new immigrants alike , now and in future .

This weekend ( The Last long weekend) I helped a new immigramt to buy winter clothing. I always take my friends and new immigrants to buy this stuff from SEARS OUTLET STORES at Islington/ Rexdale or at Hwy 7 and 410. You will be amazed to see how much money you can save on these store on buying quality winter clothings. If you buy stuff on Friday or Saturday ( because they offer best sale price on these 2 days) you can save upto 75% of what you would normaly spend at Sears.

In this thread I have seen someone mentioned about good salary as a reason not to look for sale or better price... well no one wants to throw the hard earned money( if you worked hard enough to earn that money ;) )

Fido if you need more information please feel free to send me a PM.

Happy Shopping Fido!

They always offer around 50% off the normal Sears store price. Though during weekends they offer additional 20% to 40% discount on most (not all) of the items. So I would suggest you to go there either on Friday or Saturday.

Besides this stuff, you would need thermals and of course snow gloves. These items are cheaper and normally not on sale, I think WAL MART would be the best place to buy these small items.
