Wnat to find out why there was a blackout in Canada in 2003- go see the movie 'Deja vu' with Denzel Washington.
Good sci-fi. Go with an open mind ready to stretch.
Anybody seen the latest Bond? Very high octane they say.
Might check it out next week
See the new James Bond- a little rough around the edges- not as suave as the ones before-not as super-invincible nor as super-irrestible but really an action guy.
His name is still Bond, James Bond- you don't mess around with this dude.
Cool line in the movie
Barkeep: How'd you like your martini? Shaken or stirred?
Bond: Does it look like I give a damn?
And no baccarat- but the new wave Texas hold'em.
But I am giving away the story.
a real action thriller!
Another cool movie- Dhoom2- action thriller. Hodge podge of Bourne Identity, Baywatch, Sangam, Sholay, Captain America, and a myriad host of other things to make a Bollywood original!
Don't know why the Bacchan family got upset over the Hritik/ Ash kiss if at all. Wonder how many times Amitabh kissed Rekha? Guess I'll have to keep on wondering.
EXCELLENT MOVIE: MUST SEE

The first half an hour of DON sucked big time. And that was all I saw. I'm surprised nobody on CD has pointed out the shameless lifting from the Matrix style (its in the posters too). Sala movie to copy mara, ishtyle bhi copy.
This movie is based on a Gujarati saying ("લોભિયા હોય ત્યાં ધુતારા ભુખે ન મરે" which translates something into "Cheaters never go hungry where greedy people exist". Exploiting that human weakness forms the crux of the movie.
Overall, it is difficult to find anything wrong with this movie. The direction is good, the pace fast and the movie hardly digresses. It is set in a middle class setting that you would normally find in Hrishikesh Mukharjee or Basu Chatterjee movies. There are no big stars that try to hog the lime light.
The movie is divided into two half. First half is serious. This movie follows the path of 80's movies, mainly "Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro" or "Ankush" that focuses on the corruption prevalent in the Indian bureaucracy. However, realising the fact that things haven't changed in last 30 years makes you sad - that stereotypical corrupt politicians, party leaders and police officers.
The second half than changes the direction and turns funny, or say more farcical. As in Hindi they say "Tedhi Ungli Se Ghee Nikalne Ka" ("टेढी उंगली से घी निकालने का. But to realise that a greedy but seasoned guy like Boman Irani would be easily fooled seems hard to digest. There are some funny one liners.
Anupam Kher is plays the role of the middle aged patriarch with perfection. The best part that I liked was his difficult in eating a pizza. Rest of the cast does their job well. Only, the romantic angle between Parvin Dabas and Tara Sharma could have been easily avoided. It is just a time waster. Same is the character of Anupam Kher's daughter, which looks terribly out of place and has nothing to contribute to the movie.
Overall, it is that escapist popcorn entertainment that Indian audience crave for and Dibakar Bannerjee delivers. But I wouldn't call this movie a masterpiece of put it at same level with "Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron"or likes.
oh my my ....looks like a professional critique....dissection ........; )
