Hi,

Which are the good areas and which are areas to avoid in Downtown Montreal?

Would like to know about good bad areas not just in terms of moving around but also to look for hotels to stay.

How about area called latin Quarter close to Berri-Quam metro center?
Heard that is close to almost everything if one stay close to Berri-Quam subway? is that true?

Visit website Kayak.com. Fill the search criteria. It will show you all the montreal hotels and prices. Check the stars, amenities and prices at the hotel and make your decision.

This is what I did when I last visited Montreal.

umm..Vieux Montreal area is nice on a sunny day with street shows and an old town look..then there is the Notre Dame..If you are the clubbing kind whatever be the level of interest, make sure to visit the clubs on Crescent Road..happening nightlife with discos and clubs..
You may want to steer of St. Catherine Street which has the "naughty" stores...you may want to just walk by during the day to get a pulse of the city..

Enjoy

Dear CD's

We are planning to visit Montreal and Quebec in August. Please could anyone suggest cheap hotels or bed and Breakfast rooms to stay in both locations.

Thanks in advance

Melovs
