Don't worry we applied in May 07 and still no exam

Can anyone throw some light on the processing time at the Etobicoke office? I guess my file is in transit from Sydney to Etobicoke. Applied fot citz. on Nov 2007.

aug 07 applied for citizenship

nov 07 received the booklet

march 19th 08 gave the test

april 29th 08 is the oath date

we were based in canada since we came ,

donot worry about the test , pay attention to the questions

at the back of the booklet and study the booklet in detail

all the best .

We started processing your application on January 31, 2008.


Your file was transferred to the Mississauga CIC office on May 3, 2008. ""

During my calls to the CIC call center in the past I was told twice that they had transferred my file to the Mississauga office on Feb 15th itself and everything was OK, but were waiting for an acknowledgement from the Mississauga office that they had received my file and that there is a backlog in Mississauga. I now have to wait for the Mississauga office to call me for the citizenship test.

Hope this helps in giving other applicants from Mississauga some idea about the time frame.
