Any gimmicks however small it may be, if done intentionally hurts somebody.
In my opinion, if you do not have money, openly and honestly tell TTC operator they willallow you and evengive you tranfer
It happened with me, I lost my vallet, but when I told bus driver, he not even allowed me and give transfer.
He called central lost and found section of TTC and my vallet was returned to me next day.
So men keep your integrity with dignity. God will help you. Be positive at all times.

I verymuch agree with with Sanjeevkumar. Never try to do such foolish tricks. Remember one thing, if You really have a problem, explain it out to the authorities. From my personal experience in Canada I know that they ere helpful especially when they know yoou are in trouble.
If it's sunny and you try to stop a TTC bus in between two stops, the driver won't stop, but when it's snowing and you are unable to walk to the stop, he will stop the bus for you.

Well i guess in india authorities would not help you in your difficult times as canadian authorities would have... Another reason that its such attitude that has put India is in such a state.

Many students of colleges in Delhi do not buy tickets on private buses run in Delhi. All they say is "staff."If some conductor resists then some goons of colleges collect and they beat up the conductor and driver next time they pass that college. Sometimes they also damage the windshield of buses.

regarding bringing whole family, even i think it is better to bring ur family only after u settle.
you may find it difficult to get a place to live when you are not working. so, give urself a 2,3 months time before bringing ur family. first settle, find some kind of job to get things going. next find an apartment, open bank accounts etc., in the mean time, share with someone know what you might need here.. and let your family members bring those things for you from india.
i understand many ladies are scared (many first time flying) to travel all alone and face things here.. when they may not have good education or conversation skills in india.. but when you decide to come to canada, let your family ladies take few lessions in english so that they know alteast when to say "yes, no and alright!"
when you are alone here, dont spend your time sulking and missing your family .. instead do some research about what is the best locality your family can adjust, where you can send your kids to schools. once you sign apartment lease without looking at these all things.. you may end up struck to some place you dont like for 1 year.
