Are there any firms that would help do this for me and the spouse?
No need for lawyer services, just suggestions when filling out, etc.

Please contact me if you're in downtown.

You can get help from settlement agencies located in your neighbourhood.

The services are free and the counsellors can guide you through the complete process.

Went to a lawyer and they charge $5000 + GST + CIC fees to get it all taken care of.

Expensive!

All this law firm are suckers its not worth to engage their services if you have no issues with your file wrt to your IT returns, Employment, Criminal Case, health etc. Hiring a law firm woulnt expedite your case with CIC authorities they treat everyone the same. I had a very bad experience with one of the law firms wouldnt want to mention his name in this public forum. In my case they only acted as Postman .They ripped me off 1500$ oouch still hurts! when i think of these buggers. Read through the many websites like settlemtent org, CIC website, talk to people who have filed for immigration/visas etc not to mention do a search in immigration section in our canadian desi website you would get lots of valuable information.

Ofcourse, I understand.
Due to some complications in my file, it'll be hard for me to do it. Besides the fact that time is limited and my time is limited too.

This is why I'm looking for a firm that'll do all the filling out and mailing on my behalf, etc.

More than several times, I have seen people will thrash, curse and say all kind of things about immigration firms; but will still use them because they are busy, not comfortable doing the paper work themselves or some other 'genuine' reasons. No use awakening persons not actually sleeping.

There has been lot of advises on forum for not using these consultants for all that clerical work and save money. But who is listening…

Just need to find a cheaper one.
