I am a Canadian Citizen working in the US on TN1 .

My employer wants to apply for a Green Card for me.

1/ How long is the procedure..

2/ Do i continue to request TN1 extension until the GC comes thru..

3/ is there a special queue to GC for Canadian Citizens ... (maybe not) an ideas ...

Thanks in advance for taking the time to read my Query.

-- If you are Indian born, it will at least take 3 to 4 years.

-- You can continue working on TN; TN->GC is possible. Until when you can be on TN is a different question. Come back with this question once you have passed the first stage of the GC (i.e. the PERM).

The adjustment of status queue is based not on the country of citizenship, but on the country of birth.
You can always go for CP once you reach that stage.

CP can be done only if the PD is current.
