so by the same logic people who kill animals are probably doing that for their business/survival .
I am just trying to understand that why pet lovers create so much noise but some of them may not treat fellow human beings in a decent way ?

I think bad people are on both sides, whether pet friendly or not, so I don't see the point in tacking on the additional label.
A cat eats mice but leaves the family pet hamster alone. Go Figure!

Animals whether they are pets or not cannot defend themselves against cruelty at the hands of human beings...we as humans have a choice to treat animals with love and respect. Some people do not and those that do give a crap about animals really do not need to explain why, after all we as human beings are supposed to be the most "intelligent' species on the planet...I can't believe we are actually discussing this topic. Yes an animal cannot talk and yet neither can a new born human baby, yet we do not dismiss the new born human baby and let it fend for itself....is the life of an animal worth less than that of a human being? Is loving an animal any different than loving a human being?
