Can we have some where develop a resume bank or database for fellow Indians looking for Jobs.

Secondly whether the same may be popped up on search engines, if Indians are looking for any particular skill, they may use the same.

I got some resumes from fellow indians, but they were with viruses, I could not really helped them.

Any suggestions, how we can really extend our help to such fellows

I will ask you to test the system.

Thanks.

Ok, guys this is just a preliminary work on the resume bank.

http://www.canadiandesi.ca/resumes.php

http://www.canadiandesi.com/resumes.php

Please understand that this is not complete and I am putting here to test. Feel free to add your resume to test it, but I might need to remove garbage test information at a later date when I role this module out.

Any suggestions are most welcome.

Thanks.

Garvo, The resume module is a great move..i hope it will go a long way in connecting desis with jobs. I am just curious if there will be a feature in the resume module to see the resumes of those who have posted it.
I mean if I post my resume, can other members see it or will it be open only to potential employers

Thanks

Garvoji,

It is really a great move for jobless immigrants. I am sure it would be very much helpful for all of us.

One suggestion: The form seems to be only for landed immigrants. In 'Your Personal Information. (This will not be visible to the employer)'
Section Province gives only choices for Candian provinces. What about expeting immigrants? For those like me who would like me draw attention of employees prior to come to Canada, I did not find place in the resume bank.
I suggest to modify the form for people like us so that our reume also can be included in the bank and get attention of the emplyees.

Bharat,

I can include other contries. However no-body will look at resumes from outside canada. There are lots of people here searching for jobs.

My point is - one should only put resume only when you land here - or about to land and you know where you are landing. It will be more effective.

Another effect of this will be on the employers. If we have resume all over the world, they will have difficulty in finding right local candidate.

Let me see how I can fulfil your demand
