My mother in laws visit visa was rejected even thogh my wives doctor had given a letter that she is coming for assisting us with the post delivery care of a new baby.

I have a job and house in Canada.

also she has a house in her name in India and also sufficient funds.

They rejected her visa with the excuse that we are not convinced if you will return back to India.

It happened to my parents as well a few days back. The first time we applied for visa through a travel agent. Now, I asked my parents to personally go to New Delhi and speak to the visa officer. They are planning to go to the embassy on Aug 24th. I'll keep you posted if their personal visit to the embassy is successful or not.

Regards
Daks

what was your in-laws experience - in terms of questions asked by the visa officer? did the visa officer saw all the papers? what were the documents submitted by you and your in-laws?
If you are a canadian citizen, Do you want to give another try by calling on your local MP? it may help.

Mine is same case as the NorthAlberta.

They are asking nothing just check papers and simply rejected and give piece of paper mentioning reason.

I heard lot of visa rejection cases for parents. If I try on sponsorship basis then it will take 5 years and they reject visitor visa then what they are going to prove?

The act of rejecting aged parents on basis of that "we are not convinced if you will return back to India" is STUPID thing.

You also can not legally fight against rejection of visitor visa.

This act is really against the Human rights. They have no value of parents but in our country our parents are totally depends on us and Canadian Government should know before inviting Indian candidates on Immigration basis.

Please any body have any idea about visitor visa. Case before is different for parants but now its more difficutls.

This is weird. Very much like what USA does. summary dismissal.

I think they are feeling the heat as far as pressure on public services go. So also the immig for dependants is taking 50 months....:(

I think they are just discouraging old people to come....

I once made a mistake, but I was wrong about it.

You can appeal against the reejction in Federal Court in Canada. I think fee is $300 for appeal. If you are confident, represent yourself attach all the papers.

This is not my personal experience but someone else I knew did this and succeeded.

Actually all countries in the world know that Indians can be treated badly.
They know that India is over populated, under developed and Indians are desparate to move out.

That is why in the middle east labourers are put 20 in one room, In USA programmers are put on bench for minimum wages and in Canada govt is doing nothing inspite of So many educated Indians doing Labour jobs.

And now they dont want families to reunite.
