I too am a Civil ENgineer I remained in Vancouver for about a year and a half but could find a job. So returned to India. From my unsuccessful experience !!! I think it is the best to take up a minimum wages job first alongside do some course which prepares you for a technician's job.

does my indian exp. goin to help in my resume scrabble ?

what i am plannin to do is that to get into the industry i will takin a home inspectors training in March...then will apply for PEO and may be later will do some course in Quantity analysis.....oiqs.org

is that enough to get a decent job in Canada or i will simply quit the idea of gettin a job in civil and start doin somethg else ???

plz suggest ...m really confused...dnt know which way to go and wat to do?

I am also a civil engineer landed in Toronto last month. I am actively searching for a job right now. It seems like its really tough to get a job in the civil field with our experience back home.
