The same way everyone else does for family sponsorship. Visit http://www.cic.gc.ca." rel="nofollow">LINK All necessary information is available there. US citizens don't get any special privileges except for a visa free travel to Canada.

Hello HAT,

Please go through the details given below. Also make an appointment with and call or walk into one of the Canadian Immigration Offices, close by where your Parents Live and discuss these items AND obtain proper details and application forms from them. They will provide you with PROPER instructions and HOW TO go about it in a systematic manner. The following is for your guidance only. There is a guide that comes with it.

* " IF you (they) have a legal status in the United States and are submitting their application at the Canadian visa office in Buffalo.YOU (they) qualify for the simplified application process." This is for your Parent's PR application.

You can sponsor:

* Parents .
{{* grandparents
* brothers or sisters, nephews or nieces, granddaughters or grandsons who are orphaned, under 18 years of age and not married or in a common-law relationship
* another relative of any age or relationship if none of the above relatives could be sponsored, and you have no other relatives who are Canadian citizens, persons registered as Indians under the Indian Act or permanent residents and
* accompanying relatives of the above (for example, spouse, partner and dependent children).}} NOT FOR YOU?

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/index.asp

Where to send: United States of America Buffalo http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/missions/buffalo.asp

PCC: Follow the required guidelines, strictly. : http://geo.international.gc.ca/can-am/washington/visas/police_certificate-en.asp
NOTE:
{{The RCMP will send the results of the applicant's criminal record check DIRECTLY TO THE CANADIAN VISA OFFICE. They will not return fingerprints to the applicant. The normal processing time for a criminal record check is 60 days. The same applies to FBI clearance}

After you receive and see the application forms you will have other pertinent questions to which you would want answers. Please ask them when you come across them.

Hope this helps you get started.

Freddie.

To start with , check if you meet the eligibility factor - meet the LICO requirement, are not on social assistance, have not declared bankruptcy etc. If you are OK with these, fill up the application forms, IMM 1344A, IMM 1344B, IMM 1283. Attach supporting documents as per IMM 5287 and submit the forms to CPC Mississauga.

As you have mentioned that your parents have US citizenship, you can mention the US address in the forms so that once you are approved as a sponsor by CPC Mississauga, the file is transferred to Visa Post in US.

Incase you need any help with the above forms, please contact any settlement agency in your neighbourhood who provide free counselling for such services.

Best wishes
