can sumone plz help me to remove xp antivirus 2008 (which is a antivirus itself).I tried googling...there r number of sites i tried one and it asked me to download to remove the virus.But how do i know dat i m not further inviting viruses by downloading this stuff.....plz adv....as i m not a IT person....if u giv ur contact number to speak to u will be GR8!

You can try logging in safe mode by pressing F8 when the computer starts and try to delete the folder "xpantivirus 2008" or whatever in C:\Program Files. It may not remove the adware completely though. You can try downloading Spybot Search and Destroy if it finds it from http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html and run it.

to remove anti virus 2008 pro, try malwarebytes anti-malware software. it will clean your computer.
