Hi friends,

I have Indian passport which is expiring in April 2009.

I am going to India in Nov 2008 for two weeks . My passport expiry is going to be less than 6 months while I will be in India. I wanted to know if I can travel India on this passport or am I required to renew my passport before going to India?

My current status in Canada is of permanent immigrant.

Would appreciate if fellow desis can shed some light.

As per my knowledge you can not travel before 2 months of expiry. i.e. if your passport is expiring on April 15, you should be back in Canada before February 15 otherwise you should renew it before travel. I advice you to check with Indian Consulate office.
