Even I am not looking for a Job or a House ... Similarities end here. I am not looking for Date as well.
This definitely is not a Dating Site. You may not get what you are searching for - specially when you haven't specified your genetical preferences. And may also be because visitors here are not looking for Date.

Matrimonial sites like Shadi.com do have tons of Desi's in Canada looking for a marriage relationship. However, for the casual Chai kind of socialising, it is very very hard to find a desi.
The only thing that will work is through networking (but not at CD though) through work contacts, university study contacts etc... I have heard of contacts with both the above one's that I have mentioned.
You could try Orkut and Facebook but you will be faced with 100% rejection for sure. It is still taboo among desi circles...

Dates are available in most of the desi shops.. sells at around $4.99 per packet (1 lb, I think). Guess they are pretty safe; but not sure if they will allow you to take it inside the movie hall (normally no external foods allowed)

Your target audience does not reside here. You'll make one very bad sales person. This site is mostly visited by family man/woman. There must be singles around here on & off - but more off.
There are other Sure Shot ways to locate them.
