A child supports the parents (be it son or daughter). This is tamil culture. Do you knwo that many only daughters donot get married in Tamil Nadu just for the fact that they need to support their parents.

If you have good opportunities, forget about Canada. Forget about compensation from Canadian Govt. I have no doubt that you have good opportunities in US. US market is very hot. Even in my field, Canadian market is dead and US is so hot that everyday I get e-mail from some recruietr is US and I get few calls too asking me if I am willing to take contracts in US.
Look at brighter side. They gave you canadian citizenship so that you can work in Canada. As long as you will harbour grudge against Canadian system, it is you who will suffer. Canadian govt. is not an individual so it really does not matter. However, before leaving , as MR said, write a protest letter to the right authorities and drive a point that not every immigrant is dying to come here. So they better give a correct picture to future immigrants and or do more to settle new immigrants.

Thanks for your encouraging reply.
I donot know how you or others fell, but i really feel cheated by the Canadian govt.. The more i try to out smart them the more mistakes i make.
I am of a culture which does not tolerate being cheated.
My idea is to make an impact with the Canadian govt. that they will not dare to cheat an immigrants again. I have been having only brick bats thrown at me (by others and not you) for this idea., but i belive that truth will prevail.

Don't you think this website is doing it. Website is giving both sides of the coin. I felt cheated few yrs ago but I donot now. I had to work hard for few years to feel comfortable in Canada. And now I love Canada.
If you really want to feel comfortable in Canada, do everything that will help you to get a better job and that means going back to school and getting Canadian qualification if necessary.
