We bought two from Super Store. Honeywell 50 Pint (30 ltr) Capacity. Very effective and durable. Wait for second half of summer, these things go on sale during that time and you can have it at 50% discount.

Friends;

There are 'humidifiers' and 'de-humidifiers' both available for use. Will plz someone advise in which weather/ conditions either of two should be used. I understand a normal compresser based air conditioner acts as de-humidifier as well (we see water coming out from a pipe); so can we say de-humidifier is a form of AC, which lowers the humidity without lowering air temprature?

Thanks in advance.

Humidifier is used in winters. Heat sucks the humidity out of air making it dry, so humidifier is good to keep the air humid at comfort level.

And yes Air-Conditioner is a sort of de-humidifier.

Every house has different humidity levels and every room within a house has a different levels in turn.

People don't make educated decisions with these generally. Nose being dry is the ultimate test for lack of humidity and mold in areas is for excess humidity.

Technically, you should get a Hygrometer. Measure the humidity and get a humidifier for regions where there is lack of it and a de-humidifier where there is excess of it.
