If my Canadian passport is renewed, do I have to go through the same process of providing documents in order to get OCI visa stamped on my new passport. I am already holding OCI.
My main concern is if I have to provide new set of photographs or not?
Or they just place a new visa sticker on my new passport?
I just need to know if photographs are needed or not.
If anybody has gone through this process, please clarify.
Thanks
No you don’t if you are between 21 to 51 yrs of age. OCI is a card by itself issued by the Indian govt. I just spoke to the lady in the HCI office here dealing with OCI. When you travel with the new passport, carry the old one also. Make sure the sticker on the old passport is intact.

Thanks for the info.
It is almost the same procedure I have to go through as while getting OCI for the first time.
I have to provide photographs, fill in the form online and then wait for 2 months as indicated on the website.
I thought it is just as easy as submitting new Canadian passport to the Indian consulate and get it stamped with U-Visa sticker with new OCI certificate as they already have my info in the database.
Thanks

In case you are between the ages of 21 and 50, the link states that you do not have to get a new OCI registration card.
