Hi every one,
Iam currently working in dubai and iam planning to land inToronto with my family in the 15 of next month. my question is i will be returning back to Dubai after week or so. will one week be ok to get all my things like pr card organized? I have a pretty steady job here in Dubai earning approx $3000 pm. The problem here is my kids(2 daughters) are growing up here and should i stay back here in the gulf for good my kids will have a very difficult time settling back in India once we eventually go back home( that may be a well 10 years down the line).is it worth comming to canada permanently so that i will have to go through the hard ships when iam relatively young(40yrs) or drop the plan all togather and return back to india in abt 10 years from now.? looking forward to hear from you all especially Fido anD Gopal pai.
Regards
My advise to you would be land and get PR and return with your family. You have option to go back and return after 3 years permanently. Canada is a very beautiful country inspite of cold that is if you have job in hand. If you are coming for a week then, you will love to see canada.
You said you have 2 daughters but did not specify age. Your decision to go back is right and intelligent one, since economy is improving, but still I feel, this year is going to be difficult. If you leave your family here, you won't be happy there. so, please take your family with you and return after 2-3 years when economy is good and you will get job easily.
Since you did not specify your profession, difficult to tell as to whether you will find job easily.

Hello Varturam,
We landed last may and came back to dubai
in one week you should be able to apply for sin card and pr card but you will get the sin card in 2 weeks.., since you need the sin card details for opening a bank account ,you may not be able to do that..
If you do decide to go for good,my advice is go with a very positive attitude and least expectations, willingness to work hard in the first few years...and you will make i happen !
I have lots of friends there who have gone from dubai and settled well..dont worry all you need is lots of money ..,
I will also br going in June .settling with my little one and hubby will be following after a year..

You need SIN CARD NO. to open an account. It is compulsory. If you are landing and going back, don't complete other fomalities. After you land, you will get PR card at your landing address anytime between 15 to 60 days.
Carry cash for the expenses of your stay.

Have the rules changed recently ? Earlier we could open an account without SIN.
