Dear Varturam,

We are also landing in the first week of April and planned to return Dubai after 15 days. I have one question. Which is the best way to carry settlement fund. I am going to carry 5000 CAD currency. For the remaning amount, I am confused. Please advise me which is the best way as this money has to be brought to Duabi after the trip.

i completed my landing in december and came back to ks after one week i laso appied for health card
is it agianst the law?
i opened account in PC bank no hastle if you have passports, COPr and sin card pintout.
but the roblem is they sent my PR card after one month but for my wife and son they are asking them to report at toronto CIC office again for photo.
i am in ksa now and dont know how can i go over there again specially since my wife delivered a baby boy who has no immigration status (thats the reason i left canada within a week time as i had no health coer and cost of delivering a baby is too high for a new comer to afford)
plz advise as to what i need tto do now.

I think you shd have landed in a province like NS / Alberta where health coverage starts from day 1 and got your baby delivered in Canada there by making him / her a born citizen ...

You should contact the CIC and let them know the situation . They might accommodate your request and give you another date .

For your new born you might need to apply for a TRV .... google ..

Hi Everyone,

Is there any one moving to Canada from Qatar in this year 2010?
I'm planning to settle in AB (either Edmonton or calgary) depends where I can find jobs.I'm from Oil & gas field, at present working in a gas company.I request all Senior Cds to come forward & give me their kind suggestions or advice regarding my relocation plans.I had my first landing in Aug-2008 at YYC.I did not submitted any kind of list called" Goods to follow list" I'll appreciate if anyone can guide me what shall I do If I wanted to bring Cargo from Qatar to AB.
