Hi Guys,

I am in Mississauga, Ontario in my accounting practice and also volunteer for few settlement services.

Please feel free to contact me via my email at

I have now lived in Canada and ofcourse other than the initial hardships, it does have a lot to offer. Afterall risk and rewards are always tied together.

Wish you guys all the best.

hi guys,

just came back to dubai after visiting canada for a week. had to cut short our visit as ba cabin crew are on the verge of going on strike so did not want to take any chances. stayed in missisagua with a friend of mine who works in scotia bank who incidentally is a gulfee him self and is doing well for himself. applied for sincard, opened bank account, applied for creditcard, tried to clear written test for driving but failed twice as was not sure of the demerit points system in canada:( . my observation of canada is that it is quite a challenging country one must be prepared to invest in himself for a couple of years and do any job that one gets on his way. getting a job for woman is relatively easier than compared to men. any proapective immigrant who is on the wrong side of 35 plus must make his move asap like what iam going to do. i will be oving in for good this dec. looking forward for the forums feed back.

One thing I cannot understand is the obsession of immigrants to open a bank account, SIN, CC, etc when the intention is not to settle immediately. Are these issues so difficult to handle when you move for good ? I hope there no tax implications if you establish residential ties with Canada. Anyway to each his own.

Getting a CC and maybe using it and repaying gets ur credit history going..

When someone finally moves he will have a good credit score to work with if he wants to buy a house or use a larger balance on his CC card.

Getting a job for women is easier because they compromise more than men.. I think all immigrants need to learn to compromise because the ground reality is far different from what they imagined or dreamed.
