You should dream - no one says stop dreaming.
But if you don't work your dreams will never come true.
Buying a lottery ticket will never make your dreams come true.
Check the 10 things which Waren Buffett says.
One of them - Buying lottery tickets or Gambling is a waste of money.
It will never make you rich. They are not made to make you rich.
They are made to make the owners / companies rich.
You have to think / work smart to make your dreams come true not buying lottery
tickets.

There are 1000s who work hard but only very few succeed. There are 1000s who buy tickets but only very few win it.
There is not much difference in the above two statements.
Waren Buffett succeeded in his life but there were 1000s like Waren Buffett who tried but failed. That does not mean that others were less smart than Waren Buffett.
What I believe is don't sit back and wait to win the lottery, but do things parallel in life. Keep working hard the smart way but at the same time try your luck through lottery or similar gambling.
I don't think any gamble is bigger than the life itself.

IMO, the whole concept lottery/gambling rests on the people taking chances. If X, Y or Z can win a lottery why can't I? Even if the chance is 1 in 5 million, there is still some chance.
Most of the people who buy lottery still work and keep living on their routine life. If you stop working and focus on gambling/lottery, then you have a gambling problem.
And sometimes, it is not about winning big. I would be content even by winning a million$ or few thousand dollars. If your mortgage is taken care of or if you can buy a bigger house, that still makes a difference in the quality of your life. You have more income at your disposal.
P.S. - I do not buy lottery.
