Array tumm sirf apnee gadi kaa dhayan rakhoo. rest will be taken care by the Canadians. Afterall they claim to be more intelligent.

There is not much Traffic in Canada and road accidents are rare. I feel all this high rates of licence fee and Insurance in canada are for collecting the money from people. Like indian traffic police do.. :p

no offences. tell us something about the behaviour of Canadian Traffic Police also. ;)

There are lots of accidents in Canada, especially in Toronto. The number of people killed in accidents are less compare to India inspite of accident, the reason is, for every one wearing seat belts is compulsory.

Though the speed on Highways 100 to 120 km/hr and on city 60 km/hr is much above what we are using in India.

Canadian Trafiic polise is very honest and there is not anything like under table amount. However once you do any accident you are gone - your insurance premium is going to shoot by atleast $100 per month!!! This is the reason why people are carefull in Canada - you are responsible for your own mistakes!

Come here and you will realise what this world is!

Guru Jee

I feel life in Toronto is fast as people spend a lot of time in travelling(safaar). So, for reducing the sufferings of fast city life they should minimise there daily safaar.

I know a few people who travel daily between Delhi-Chandigarh, Delhi-jaipur and Bombay-Pune. Yeh loog roz safaar (daily travel) karnay key karan hee Zindgee mein suffer (undergo pain and tension etc) kartay hain..

So Chalaty raho, kyon key chalna hee zindgee hai.
Lekin:: A bhai zara dekh kay chalo, dayan hee nahi bahay bhee
uuppeer hee nahee, neechay bheee.... A Bhai....

New Residents
If you are a new resident in Ontario and have a valid driver's licence from another province, state or country, you can use it for up to 60 days after you move to Ontario. If you want to keep driving in Ontario, you must get an Ontario driver's licence. New Ontario residents have 30 days before they have to register their vehicles and get Ontario licence plates and vehicle permit. Click here for more information on

Can anybody confirm, I am migrating with a 17 year old valid license from India, do I still need to obtain an Int'l license before coming to TO or that my ordinary license shall work for 60 days in ON?
How much shall it cost me to obtain license there?
what could be the minimum price for which I can get a used car without luxuries?
