You could have continued in the same thread and we all would have known who deserved all of the thanks from you. On behalf of all of the Canadian Desies. "Welcome back to Canada."

Your residential obligations begin from the date of first landing. It is 2 years out of five.
Now keep track of all of the details, of the hardships that you went through and get any records that you can, to produce to the Citizenship judge whenever they ask you to account, for your inability to fulfill the required number of days. Now if you can stay here in Canada for three years out of the next four, you can apply for you citizenship. (May be at that time you will be asked to account for the gaps in your stay) Now if you can get another police clearance from the location you were staying, where ever you were staying, that will get you upto speed. You have another three years to prepare and complete and you have all of the time to get started on it.
