Hi CD,
Unfortunately (or fortunately) my cell is dying on me and I am in the market for a BB. I do not have much insight into their lineup but the foll. are a must have - Access to corporate & personal mail (Gmail), Wireless (Wi-fi - a, b or g bands), GSM Tri band or preferably quad band and need not be big / bulky.
Appreciate if some of you can help me narrow the choices. Answer to some of the queries below would help too -
1. Any current deals on BB? I am on Fido.
2. Any feedback on the refurbished / unlocked BB or are they a complete no go?
3. Should I consider IPhone 4 or not (to meet the must-haves)?
Need some quick feedback as need to buy one today or max. tomm.
Appreciate all your help.
Thanks!!

then to utilize the power of BES you should go for BB instead of iphone and now a days two BBs are popular, bold 9700 and torch, go for either one and you should be fine.

fido does not provides latest models of bb.
At this time it is bell which can give you good price for 9700 or "Tourch", But this lower price will come with 3 years contract. And Bell's monthly contract costs are more than Fido.
The best deal for you is to just buy the new 9700 from "Wind Mobile" for $400 plus tax. I infer that Wind phones are unlocked - but still confirm at shop before you buy that it work with fido.
you can buy a used bb for cheaper but no gurantee that it will last as most of the used one were dropped, wet, moist etc.
P.S. - Let us know what did u buy in the end.
