Well done Dhoni, Gambhir and the team.
Well done Team India !
Called my family back home in mumbai soon after the match. The whole place was a party with fireworks, horns and even bugles in the background..
Well deserved triumph... Dhoni regain his performance with strong hammered innings just at right times... Great chase.. don't remember any team who chased under such a tense situation... flawless innings by Dhoni and Gambhir.
An awesome performance by India.
What a great victory.
I feel privileged to have watched it (on TV).
I recall that last time India won the World Cup, I could only hear it on a small pocket transistor radio glued to my ears, as a young kid.
I think this team is just as talented and committed as the one in 1983.
BTW, I've watched Sri Lanka after a long time and was rather surprised by the bowling of this dude Malinga.
Isn't he like literally chucking the ball?
Is it only me that's seeing this - his arm is almost at a horizontal angle when releasing the ball.
In some of the slow motion re-plays, I'm sure his arm is at a 0 degree - 10 degree angle.
I'm certain a few years ago he would have been no balled every time by the umpires.
Maybe the rules are lax these days.
Don't you guys think he is chucking?

Well done Team India.
A victory that will be cherished for a long time.

What a match. The biggest that I have ever seen in my life. The end couldn't have been better than that. Congrats team India. They did it and did it BIG.
