Hi Cd friends,
I have received a letter at my address, seeking to settle an outstanding TD canadatrust demand for 10813.10.
This is their 2nd letter at my address.

This letter is not addressed to any of my family member, the name on the letter does not correspond to even the earlier occupant at this address from whom I had brought this house.

Can this be some sought of identity theft case. I am still unable to understand the risks associated with this kind of thefts as to how can I protect myself , and where to begin with to clear this issue.

I did call the agency and talked with them that the person they are looking for does not reside here, they did say on the telephone to disregard the letter , but I cannot get over this as the fear of identity theft is looming on my mind.
Pls share your views and suggest a line of action.

When u call this type of agency never ever give your info to them.

If you worried then get your credit report from equifax and transunion and check it out.
