I applied for my wife's and kid, Case Processing Center, Mississauga recieved my complete application along with all the supporting documents on Jan 25' 2012. Till date I haven't received the file number. Whereas the CIC site says, they are taking longer time now. It already been more than 90 days. Was getting inquisitive, of this is standard with everybody, who applied in Jan 2012.

Wait until the time given on CIC website to receive the communication from them .

If you have given email address, then you will receive the email giving the status after the timeline on CIC website .

Thanks for the information, but it seems that CIC is going very slow, and they do not update their own status on their website.

Gitu,

What I have observed is that they update processing time every Thursday or Friday and the latest date is of Monday of that week.

I do agree with you that they are going very slow. from 55 days to now at 89 days. I don't understand what is going on there?

Hi everybody,

There is new thing on CIC website, the time for spousal visa has been increased tremendously to 90 days.
Wondering, is this called speed up the process.........
