I got a Debit note for $ 950 through my account.
Another person who file in Mid may and who is expected to get a credit, did not receive a cheque till now. May be it was credited to the person's bank account in Canada.

I understand your accountant in Canada efiled the return showing your status as Non Resident.
Just out of curiosity, did you file the form NR73 with CRA and sought their ruling on your Non Resident Status? Also, what address did he use for your tax return?
I understand a Non Resident can not efile. Moreover, if you have address out of Canada then again a tax return can not be efiled. See here http://www.efile.cra.gc.ca/l-xclsns-eng.html
So, you should contact your accountant in Canada and authorize him to deal with CRA on your behalf to get you answers to your questions.

I have given forwarding address in Canada, one of our family friends are helping out for us. All communication will go to them.
On the form my accountant has filed, it says Non-resident electing under section 217. Also it has the number RC-11-119. I checked with the accountant and was told that I dont have to file form NR73.
