I am a student in Canada
My studies are going to finish in August 2013, while my student visas are till March 2014.
So after completing my studies and getting transcript, I will apply for work permit in September 2013.
I have a question that \"Can I go to India after applying for work permit?\"
Because it will take 3 months for getting my work permit.
If I can go, Is there any problem for reentering in Canada?
Please answer to this question as soon as possible
Thank you
Can I go to India?

Currently you are a student and have a Student Visa. (TRV)
If you leave Canada and want to RETURN, you must have:
A valid passport or travel documents.
A valid study permit if you are returning to study in Canada and a confirmation letter from a School or an University (College) to return back to continue.
A valid temporary resident visa if you are a citizen of a designated country for which Canada requires a visa. If you are a citizen of a designated country and you travel to a country other than the United States, Greenland or Saint-Pierre et Miquelon, you will need a MULTIPLE ENTRY VISA to re-enter Canada.
If your temporary resident visa has expired or if your visa was only valid for a SINGLE ENTRY, then, you must re-apply for a temporary resident visa at a Canadian visa office outside Canada and get it too, before you can re-enter Canada.
Remember : Foreign students can work in Canada during their studies, and after they graduate. In most cases, you will need to apply for one of the student-related work permits, which are required if you want to work in a Co-op / internship placement, off campus, or after graduating from your studies (Post-Graduation Work Permit Program). And you will get it. If you have a Foreign Student Group at the location you are studying, contact them too. They have all of the answers to a situation that you are experiencing. Try them first.
