I got PR through CEC program and am going to apply for Canadian citizenship in couple of month.
The problem am facing is that I gave IELTS 3 yrs back and am not able to get a duplicate transcript from Conestoga. Unfortunately I didn't keep the copy of the original transcript.
Do you guys have any suggestions on what is the best bet for me to get through this in most economical way in 2 months..
Is there a way to get the transcript from IELTS.
IELTS I guess would cost me 300 CAD
CELPIP - 175 CAD
ESL requires 3-4 months.
Thanks![/quote

What I gathered from IELTS and also from CONESTOGA is, that the validity of a certificate issued to anyone is ONLY TWO years. (Looks like a money making business) So, the question arises if the CIC Citizenship will accept a certificate that has run out of time. If they do not then, you will have to obtain a certificate that they will accept and that too in a hurry. More on it under this.
If you did study at any English Standard Schools in your earlier days, then they will let it ride. It is at a location where the medium of instruction was conducted in English language. Alternately you can take ESL here and complete the course and obtain a certificate that will keep you in good standing. The best part is that you can enroll for the course and tell them you will provide a completion certificate at the end of the course. They will accept the tentative issue of one such certificate. If they still do it or not has to be obtained from them.
Also here is an article that is worth reading and see if it will satisfy their requirements, currently. If they will accept the same, then follow this course of action and complete it. This article is two years old.
Of course there are costs associated with these tests and you will have to bear them.
Good Luck.
FH.

Thank You Full House!
All my schooling 10(except Hindi and Sanskrit)+2+Engineering was in english, Marksheet is in English, but the thing is how do I know for sure if they would accept this. Will call CIC and ask.
I liked the idea about enrolling for ESL, I booked for assessment next week, told them my entire situation, they will advice after assessment.
The link you referred says CELPIP is a good alternative. If the above 2 doesn't work out, I will go for CELPIP.
Thanks Again.
to be safe, submit ielts score
