Wht Ottawa nerd says has a lot of merit and that will become evident the moment one lands in Calgary.Starting from the airport and alll cleanin activities plus just have a look around and you will realise that whether racial discrimination is prevalent or not.Further at designated time and places desis are not supposed to go.
Most of the population is into low paying job and even the owners of good firms feel that the discrimination to browns exist and it is to be lived to be experienced.
You will also realise by the various carer fairs and the group meeting of bodies for breaking the rules of discrimination, which takes place in Torono and aMontreal only .YOu will realise that there is really any oil company which goes for employment of visible minorities or participate in such events .
I would also advise any body properly educated to go for any office jobs in Calgary and even when you go to any employmnet agency ,you will relise the way these people treat you and again if you want to go for a factory job or wheat farms owned by desis , then only it is good.

White(Gora) population more then 80%
If you are looking for a place where you get job easily in Canada, then u r mistaken.......
Like Australia, canada is also encouraging people to land in interiors where population is less and positions are there...unlike crowded TO.
Do you think newcomers from India would land directly in THUNDER BAY...NUNAVAT etc if someone say that there are planty of jobs??????
