We live in India. HAve posted our Passports also,( to CIC, New delhi. )

Since my husband was in US for 2-3 years on student visa, I have been asked to submit police clearance certificate and FBI certificate. But we live in India. What shall we do?

And in the letter it is asked your state police certificate and FBI certificate. I am the principal applicant and I have never been to US.

Since passports are with CIC, delhi, can it be a problem for obtaining certificates?


Shall we visit US embassy here in India. Or shall we contact and ask my brother-in-law staying in US to apply for us?

Please suggest the best possible way
And how can we get fingerprinting done, since we stay here
